Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted).

Child profile data: your child's name, age, gender, interests, and optionally a photo, provided by you to personalise their book.

Order data: purchase history, book generation records, and download activity.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage data collected automatically for security and platform improvement.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To generate your personalised book based on the details you provide
• To deliver your PDF and manage your orders
• To send transactional emails (order confirmation, book ready notification)
• To improve our AI generation quality (anonymised, aggregated only)
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data or your child's data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

4. Child Data — Special Protection

• Child data is used exclusively to generate the requested book
• Child photos are processed to extract appearance traits and are not stored permanently after generation
• We never share child data with third parties except our AI generation infrastructure, under strict data processing agreements
• Only the parent or guardian who created the child profile can access or delete it

We do not collect data from children directly. All information about a child is provided by a parent or guardian who is the account holder. Children do not interact with our platform directly and do not create accounts.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following service providers, strictly for operating the platform:

• Paddle — payment processing and tax compliance
• AI infrastructure providers — for story and image generation
• Email service provider — for transactional emails only
• Print fulfillment partner — only your shipping address, for optional print add-on orders

We never sell personal data to any third party.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated books are stored for 12 months after creation. Child photos used for generation are deleted within 30 days after the book is delivered. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us directly and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only, for authentication sessions and security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
